Real Estate Pre-licensing

In order to sit for your North Carolina state real estate license exam, you must first attend and pass a mandatory 75 hour class prescribed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission

Real Estate Post-licensing

After successfully completing the real estate pre-licensing course and passing your North Carolina state exam, a newly licensed (or Provisional Broker) must successfully pass three Post-licensing classes:

  • 301: Broker Relationships and Responsibilities

  • 302: Contracts and Closings

  • 303: Rules and Legal Concepts

Real Estate Continuing Education

General Update (GenUp): this is the 4 hour mandatory update course for every Provisional and full Broker in the state of North Carolina. It is to be taken every year between July 1st and June 10th of the following calendar year.

Broker In Charge Update (BICUp): this is the 4 hour mandatory update course for every BIC and BIC-eligible Broker in the state of North Carolina. It is to be taken every year between July 1st and June 10th of the following calendar year.

Elective: in addition to either the GenUp or BICUp, every broker must take an additional 4 hour update of their choosing every year between July 1st and June 10th of the following calendar year.

Bootcamp

A specialized one-day review course created by The Pathway School of Real Estate’s own School Director David Dawe.  This is an intensive 8 hour review class that is designed for students that have completed the Pre-licensing class and are preparing for the North Carolina state licensing exam. This course will cover all topics in Pre-licensing that will be covered on the state exam.
